Backpacks donated
Following a multi year tradition, the employees of St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics once again purchased and filled 15 backpacks for students in the Prairie, Nezperce and Highland School Districts.  The SMH Kamiah Medical Clinic prepared six backpacks for students in the Kamiah schools.
The hospital also donated six cases of paper and Kleenex to the school districts within their service area.
“We understand the financial challenge facing many parents as they prepare their children for school.  The school districts are also facing many challenges, too,” said Cheri Holthaus, SMHC Mission Committee member.  “Our employees recognize the importance of starting school with all the necessary supplies so kids can focus on learning and teachers can focus on teaching.  We’re happy to make this contribution again this year.”
