Welcome home planned for Emma Watson
Emma Watson was born with congenital heart disease although she has undergone multiple surgeries to try to restore her health. She continues to face life threatening medical conditions which made her eligible to receive a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. With that referral, came the dispatching of a Make-A-Wish Foundation volunteer to discover what Emma’s one true wish would be. Emma Watson of Craigmont was born with congenital heart disease which made her eligible to receive a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She is shown with a St. Therese little flower doll donated by the women of St. Therese’s Church in Orofino. Her main wish was to receive a special audience and spiritual blessing from the Pope. There is a welcome home party at the Prairie Café in Craigmont Saturday after her fulfillment of that wish.
Because of this little girl’s enormous faith and spiritual sensitivity beyond most adults, 7 year old Emma’s wish to receive a special audience and spiritual blessing from Pope Benedict has been granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation and its affiliate office in Italy.  After receiving letters from two of Emma Watson’s priests, doctors and nurses of Sacred Heart Hospital, and numerous others regarding Emma’s belief and strength in her faith it was obvious that is was her wish. This divine wish was originally scheduled to take place in February on a very special day, her birthday. Due to illness and hospitalization on her birthday her trip to Rome was postponed until September 6th, 2009. Her faith and spiritual sensitivity has remained intact throughout all the setbacks she has experienced.
Emma and her family will partake in the Pope Audience on September 9th where Emma will receive a blessing directly from the Pope. Also while in Rome Emma and her family will explore the city and participate in tours, including the Monumental Tour of Rome where they will see famous fountains and monumental columns. They will also visit the Colosseo, an elliptical amphitheatre in Rome and will enjoy a final tour of the city in a horse drawn carriage.  Emma will experience the wonders and magic of Rome through a Childs eyes.
Please join in celebration and sharing of her excitement by gathering to welcome her home from Rome at the Prairie Café conference room in Craigmont at 1:00 pm Saturday September 19th. The Make-A-Wish Foundation will be providing a welcome home party for Emma and her family. If you would like to have a bite to eat, (BBQ Pork sandwich, fries and a green salad or any other menu) items may be purchased from the Prairie Café for a small fee.
The picture was taken when Emma received another part of her wish to have a St. Therese the little flower doll donated by the women of St. Theresa’s Church in Orofino during mass.
