Advent service project
The students of the Tri-Parish Prairie Faith Formation Program listened with eyes wide open as the teachers explained that our local community has families who may not have a Christmas this year without some additional help.
The 1st - 8th grade students have decided that they would like to help this Advent by sponsoring a Penny Drive. The Jr. High young adults have decorated the collecting jars and these will be placed in local businesses and the classrooms of the PFFP. There will also be jars at each of the churches throughout the Tri-Parish. The funds collected will be given to the Hospital Angel Tree fund. The children are encouraged to contribute by doing small chores or earning the money in some other way. Giving to others is one way to prepare for the coming of the newborn Child during this Advent season.
