Prairie ROCKS!
On Thursday, January 21 Linda (Roy) Arnzen joined our High School Prairie ROCKS class.  She talked to us about the importance of reading scripture and encouraged us to read from the bible everyday.  She shared about a time in her life when she felt a very real infusion of the Holy Spirit through reading scripture daily.  Just for fun, Linda and the students reminisced about ‘the good old days’ when she was their released time teacher!  Linda called out specific books, chapters and verses from the bible and we had a contest to see who was the quickest in finding and reading the scripture passage.  This was an activity  the students had enjoyed when they  were young children in Linda’s class.
In a particularly touching moment, Linda told the students that she feels  her years of teaching released time were a gift to her.  She expressed her desire for every adult in the community to be able to experience this rewarding opportunity that exists in our parish.   If you would like to speak during Prairie ROCKS, please contact Leah Prigge at 962-2357.
All are welcome and encouraged to join us on January 28 when we will welcome Karla Krogh.  Karla will talk about the journey she experienced when her husband, Jeff, was critically injured during a NASCAR race.  Class times are 8:20 or 9:20 at the High School PEACE building.
