Cereal school set for Greencreek
All farmers and ranchers, agri-support personnel, and other interested persons are welcome to come for a morning of information about the grain industry and a complimentary lunch.
The Prairie Area Extension Cereal School is slated for Tuesday, February 9th, 2010, at the Greencreek Community Hall. Registration along with coffee and donuts begins at 7:30 am, with the program beginning at 8:00 am. The agenda includes a broad selection of topics about cereal production including variety information, insect management, weed research and weed management to limit herbicide resistance, and a nitrogen/nitrate research report. Reports will also be presented by the ISDA Commodity Indemnity Fund, Idaho Wheat Commission, Idaho Barley Commission and Idaho Grain Producers Association. 
The lunch is prepared by the Greencreek Altar Society and is sponsored by the Idaho Wheat Commission, The Idaho Barley Commission, and Nezperce Ag. Two pesticide recertification credits and CCA credits will be available. Please preregister not later than Friday, February 5th, by providing your name and phone number to lewis@uidaho.edu or call 208-937-2311 or call your local UI Extension Office. All producers, agri-support personnel and other interested people are welcome and encouraged to attend. This educational program is brought to you be University of Idaho Extension in cooperation with Lewis and Idaho County Grain Producers, Idaho Barley and Wheat Commissions, and the Idaho/Lewis Extension Crops Advisory Committee.
