Track team competes at Kamiah
Kyler Shumway, Brock Heath, MaKayla Schaeffer and the girls 4x100 relay team all picked up wins at an 11 team track meet held at Kamiah Thursday, March 25.
Shumway won the shot put with a mark of 56’5”, nearly 17 feet better than the second place mark. He also took second in the 100 meter dash in 11.86. Heath won the 800 in 2:10.24 then took second in both the 1600 and 3200 to Timberline’s Austin Blain. His 1600 time was 4:54.53 and his 3200 time was 10:32.63.
Ryan Dalgliesh was third in the 300 hurdles in 47.42.
MaKayla Schaeffer again won the long jump with a season best mark of 15’5”. She also placed fourth in the 100 meter dash in 13.93.
The girls 4x100 relay team of Kristin Hill, Shelby VonBargen, NaTosha Schaeffer and MaKayla Schaeffer won in a time of 54.58. 
The team of Hill, Tyler Workman, Rachel Falzon and VonBargen took fourth in the 4x200 relay in 2:04.47
The team of VonBargen, Falzon, Hill and Workman took third in the medley relay in 2:10.26.
The team of Hill, MaKayla Schaeffer, Mary Shears and NaTosha Schaeffer was third in the 4x400 relay in 4:33.91.
NaTosha Schaeffer took 2nd in the 100 hurdles in 17.4 and was also 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 49.83.
As a team the girls placed third with 80 points. Other girls results follow:
Betty Clark took fourth in the 3200 in 16:13.27.
Falzon placed 19th in the 200 meter dash in 33.13.
Shears was fourth in the shot put at 28’9” while Demetria Riener was 6th in 27’8”. Ashley Shumway, Stephanie Gimmeson and Amanda Stinson also competed in the shot put but no marks were available.
Shears was also 7th in the discus at 85’7”. Stinson, Gimmeson, Shumway and Riener also competed in the discus but no marks were available.
Falzon was 5th in the long jump at 12’6½” while Shumway was 7th at 12’ even and VonBargen was 8th at 11’6”. Workman also competed but no mark was available.
As a team the boys placed 6th with 62 points. Other results follow:
Dalgliesh was 12th in the 100 at 12.85,  6th in the 200 in 25.42 and 4th in the high jump at 5’6”.
Robin Krol was 17th in the 200 in 26.51 and 6th in the 800 in 2:21.80.
Kaden Perrin was 8th in the 800 in 2:23.41. He also competed in the 1600 and 3200 but no times were available for either race.
Kyle Uhlenkott was 13th in the discus at 79’4” and also competed in the shot put but no mark was available.
