Lions Health Screening Trailer to be in Cottonwood
The Northwest Lions Foundation’s Health Screening Trailer will be in Cottonwood next Tuesday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The 62-foot-long, medically-equipped Lions Health Screening Unit (LHSU) travels throughout Washington and Northern Idaho to give free health screenings at schools, fairs, and other public events. Checking for glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and sight and hearing loss is key to interventions in potentially life-threatening health problems.
The trailer will set up near Prairie Elementary School and typically screen children in grades K-3 and 5 and 7. Screenings are free of charge to the public and are also available to adults who want to stop by.
Home-schooled and Summit Academy students are welcome to stop by as well for a free screening.
