The century-old monastery is the only motherhouse of women religious in Idaho and is home to fifty-seven Benedictine sisters.
“Hospitality has always been a hallmark of Benedictine monasteries,” said Sister Clarissa Goeckner, Prioress. “We are delighted to extend hospitality in a unique way through this new venture of our community.”
Inn at St. Gertrude combines a tranquil, reflective atmosphere with comfortable accommodations, full amenities and gracious hospitality. It offers four well-appointed rooms with pillow-top mattresses and private baths. Each smoke-free room features beautiful Monastery antiques, warm inviting colors and outdoor living space, along with TV and wireless Internet access. Guests may enjoy a continental breakfast at the Inn or join the sisters in the Monastery dining room.
Inn at St. Gertrude lies in the heart of Idaho’s scenic Camas Prairie, three miles from Cottonwood, off U.S. Highway 95. Guests will be surrounded by peace and quiet at the edge of 150 wooded acres, ideally situated to offer spectacular views of the rolling prairie, the Gospel-Hump Wilderness Area and the Seven Devils mountain range.
