Come GROW! with us
Come GROW! with us! The Tri-Parish is proud to host the fifth season of the GROW! Adult Faith Formation program. We have some awesome resources available to chose from this year. Start thinking about joining a group or starting your own if you haven't already. Contact Jeanne Arnzen at the church office (962-3214) if you'd like to join a group. There are many different groups to choose from--we can find one to fit your needs!
Come check out the products being used at our booth at the Idaho Co. Fair.  We’ll be located in the Open Class building at the fairgrounds.   There will also be an opportunity to sign up for GROW! after each mass on the weekend of August 28/29. The books will be available to look through at this time also. Contact Jeanne Arnzen (962-3212) or Tara Duclos (962-5651) with questions.
There are four different options to pick from this year:
The Catholic Church in the 21st Century, ed. by Rev Michael J. Himes--This book looks back on the history of the Church to discover what the 21st Century Church can learn from its past. It includes a study guide. Cost is $16 per person.
"We Believe. . ." A Survey of the Catholic Faith, by Oscar Lukefahr, C.M.--This best-selling guide follows the four main divisions of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (Belief, Worship, Christian Life and Prayer). Activities and questions for group discussion are included. A workbook is included in the cost of $7 per participant.
The Privilege of Being Catholic, by Oscar Lukefahr, C.M.--More than a question-and-answer review or an overview of history and dogma of Church teaching, this book demonstrates how the sacramental principle has had a profound effect on the way Catholics view God, the universe, humankind and life. Readers will get to know and love the Catholic church better as they grow to appreciate "the privilege of being Catholic." Workbook included. $7 per person.
Just Neighbors--This is an interactive poverty-awareness program published by Family Promise that is designed for small-faith groups. It includes nine-90 minute sessions.   This multi-media curriculum addresses the issues that surround poverty and examines ways we can help our neighbors who are trapped in poverty. Just Neighbors is an engaging and inspiring
educational experience. Check out their website, www.justneighbors.net for more information.  Click on the “Catholic” tab in the upper right corner to see the version we are using.  Cost is $12 per person.

Faith Forward meeting is Monday
Members of the St. Mary’s, St. Anthony’s, and Assumption parishes are invited to attend the first Faith Forward meeting on Monday, August 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Ferdinand Parish Hall.
The purpose of this meeting will be to begin researching the future needs of our parish religious education program (Prairie Faith Formation Program) and to discuss how the upcoming changes at Prairie will ultimately affect our ability to continue this ministry effectively.  Anyone interested in supporting the future of the PFFP is welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting.
Our parishes host the only Catholic released time education program in all of Idaho, and its survival is vital to the faith formation of the children in our area.   This is an opportunity for us to come together and show our support.  If you have questions or would like further information, please call Annmarie Schwartz at 507-1752 or e-mail at schwartz_jared@hotmail.com.
