Two-Minute Talent Show results
There were 14 entrants in this year’s Two Minute Talent Show at the Idaho County Fair in 3 age groups.
There were 6 entries each in the 5-12 and 13-18 age groups and 2 in the 19 and over group.Josie Turner played bluegrass music on the mandolin to win the 5-12 year old age group at the 2-Minute Talent Show. Accompanying on the guitar is her brother Ross.
Josie Turner was the winner in the 5-12 age group for “Bluegrass Stomp” played on a mandolin with accompaniment from her brother Ross Turner. Second place went to “Can You Taekwondo” by Brandon Baker and third went to Hailey Russell who sang “Bless the Broken Road” despite having to deal with microphone problems and having to do 2 restarts.
In the 13-18 year old age group Josie Laufenberg took first place for her vocal of “Beyond the Sea.” Second went to Kahtleen Lusich, Claire Majors, Sarah Davis and Bridget Lusich for “Dino Dance.” Third went to Ross Turner for his acoustic guitar performance of “Twin Six Shooters.”
In the 19 and over age group Shantal Laufenberg took first place for singing “Sweet Vocals.” Second went to Marci Eades for her spoken word performance of “The Woman’s Bill of Rights.”
Judges were Mayor Rey Mireles of Stites, Mayor Charlotte Schilling of Kooskia and Mayor Dale Schneider of Kamiah.
Other performers in the 5-12 year old age group were Kyle Frei and Grace VanGunten for the dance performance of “Fifties Fever,” Aaron Goeckner for his harmonica solo “The Return of Harmonica Hum” and Hayden Hill for her pogo stick and hula hoop performance “Hippin’ and Hoppin’”
Others in the 13-18 year old group were Hunter Angeny for his electric guitar solo “Intros!” Halee Hill for her vocal of “Crazy” and Avery Russell and Kara Stefani for their vocal duet of “Sunday Morning.”
Josie Laufenberg was the 13-18 year old winner at the 2-Minute Talent Show.
Kyle Frei and Grace VanGunten danced fifties style at the 2-Minute Talent Show.
