Third lecture examines historical mysteries
Getting to the historical truths through the remnants of the past is complicated work – and often as full of twists and turns as a mystery novel. This Thursday, October 14, the Historical Museum presents a lecture where you can learn about historical fieldwork and all its ramifications in the local area. Steve Branting, a retired educator from Lewiston, asks the right questions as he delves into authentic historical research -- some of which includes the solving of real historical mysteries. He will present several examples including his research in cemeteries.
This is the third lecture of the 11th Annual Fall Lecture Series at the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude. The lectures are free and take place at Spirit Center from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. For more information visit www.HistoricalMuseumatStGertrude.org.
