Storm knocks out power
A nasty windstorm late Monday evening-early Tuesday morning knocked the power out in Cottonwood and many of the surrounding areas.
In Cottonwood it was out for just over 12 hours as power went out at about 1:45 a.m. and was restored at just after 2 p.m.
Some areas were still without power on Wednesday.
Wind gusts were clocked at over 60 miles per hour in the area.
The outage led to a late evening getting this week's Chronicle finished but subscribers received it at the normal time.
There may be difficulties in getting next week’s paper done as well as the Chronicle editor has to report for jury duty next Monday, Nov. 22, at 8:30 a.m. at Grangeville.
Hopefully everyone will bear with us.
