Students build cabinets
The five Cabinetmaking classes spent the last nine weeks building cabinets for the high school and Cottonwood Community Library. Cabinets built were:
Three tall cabinets for the science room for Mrs. McLeod; a computer countertop and two small cabinets for Mrs. Baldus in the resource room; a computer countertop and two small cabinets for Mrs. Lundmark in the art room; and 6 sets of bookcases for the Community Library.
The students learned a great deal about the various steps in cabinetmaking. The students may not go into cabinetmaking as a trade, but they know how they are assembled properly. They all did a good job and should be proud of their accomplishments. The work that the students did saved a great deal of money for the school and library.
Had the material not been donated by Pacific Cabinets, this endeavor would not have been possible. Their donation of material is greatly appreciated.
Shown below are some of the cabinets built.
