Greene receives award
Patricia Greene received the Audrey Spence Award for dedication and excellence in teaching at the State Correctional Education meeting in January.  Patricia started working at North Idaho Correctional Institution (NICI) as a correctional officer when female offenders were at NICI.  Ms. Greene left NICI for several years while her children were young, but later returned as a contracted teacher with Lewis-Clark State College teaching parenting, English language, and reading.   Patricia has been innovative and creative in her teaching, and always willing to take on extra work.  Patricia often says of her Parenting class, "We have 63 people in this class, 19 students and all of their children.  We need to get this right!"  Congratulations to Patricia for receiving this prestigious award.
