7 qualify for State

Tyler Ross, Alex Duman, Tayler Heitman, Kade Perrin and Damian McWilliams each won District titles while Mitch Jungert placed 2nd and Garrett Schmidt placed third. The top 4 in each weight class advance to state.
At 103 lbs. Ross won by pin over Marcus Towerton of Grangeville and then beat Heath Miller of Potlatch by technical fall, 17-2, in the championship match.
At 112 lbs. Duman had to win only one match as he won by pin over Mike Carey of Wallace in the championship match.
At 119 lbs. Heitman had the same situation as Duman as he won by pin over Anthony Lott of Kamiah in the championship match.
At 130 lbs. Perrin had to work a little harder as he won by pin over A.J. Rollins of Kootenai, won by pin over Skyler Wilburn of Wallace and then defeated Kyle Ringen of Kamiah 4-1 in the championship match.
At 135 lbs. Damian McWilliams won by injury default over James Amos of Potlatch then defeated Kidman Cook of Wallace 10-8 in overtime in the championship match. He had lost to Cook the last time they faced each other at the Kamiah Tournament.
At 171 lbs. Schmidt lost by pin to Justin Robie of Grangeville then fought his was to third place by winning by pin over Jack Long of Wallace and defeating Matthew Speelman of Kootenai 3-2 in the third place match.
At 285 lbs. Jungert won by pin over Brandon Wilburn of Wallace. In the championship match he lost by injury default to Ty Beare of Kootenai. Jungert had dislocated his shoulder in the home dual a week earlier and rather than risk further injury coach Dan Altman had him concede the championship so that he can heal up for state.
In the team scores Prairie took third place with 124 points. Wallace was first with 133 and Grangeville was second with 132.
STATE TOURNAMENT
The State Wrestling Meet will be held at the Idaho Center in Nampa Feb. 24-26.
First round matches start at 3:30 p.m. MST on Thursday, Feb. 24. The first round of loser-out matches will start at 8:30 p.m.
On Friday, winners bracket rounds start at 10:30 a.m. with the next round of consolation matches to start at 3 p.m.
Consolation quarterfinals start at 6 p.m. with championship semifinals set to start at 7:30 p.m.
Consolation semifinals start at 9 a.m. Saturday with the consolation finals and 5th-6th place matches starting at 11:15 a.m.
Championship match ceremonies start at 2:30 p.m. with championship matches to follow. 
In the state seedings, Tyler Ross is the #2 seed at 102 lbs. with a 26-2 record and will face Tanner Redick of Challis in the first round.
Alex Duman is the #4 seed at 20-4 and will face Carl Campbell of West Jefferson.
Tayler Heitman is also a #4 seed at 22-3 and will face Brad Gerratt of Valley.
Kade Perrin is a #5 seed at 34-4 and will face Christian Fontaine of Gooding.
Damian McWilliams is in the 8-9 match at 23-11 and will face Casey Ivey of Valley who is 27-13.
Garrett Schmidt, 10-6, gets to face #4 seeded Spencer Peck of Grace.
Mitch Jungert is the #7 seed at 27-6 and will face Jesse McGinnis of McCall-Donnelly.
