prepare portfolios
Teachers in the Cottonwood School District prepared portfolios following the guidelines of Charlotte Danielson Frameworks for Teaching. Four domains were listed: Planning and Preparation; The Classroom Environment; Instruction; Professional Responsibilities Teachers give examples of lesson plans, activities, assessments, contact with parents, communication with students and various other materials to show how they communicate their curriculum to students and parents. Teachers list professional development activities they have participated in and projects they have completed to improve their teaching techniques. The portfolios are available at the district office for any parent or community member to look through. The portfolios are an example of the uniqueness we have in our teachers and the asset they are to our community. The portfolios will be updated each year. |
