with the Starts fundraiser set
Polish your dancing shoes, brush up on your special dance steps and mark your calendars for the St. Mary’s Hospital ‘Dancing with the Stars’ event on Saturday, May 14 at the Cottonwood Community Center. The fundraiser will also include a catered dinner, a funny money casino, live and silent auctions and dancing to a DJ specializing in big band sounds popular with old and young. 
“This is the second annual dinner dance fundraiser sponsored recently by the St. Mary’s Foundation. Last March’s Mardi Gras was a big success and, at that point, our planning committee decided we’d like to do another fun event to raise funds and friends for local healthcare,” said Jim May, SMHC Development Director. “I hope everyone will purchase or reserve their tickets prior to May 9th.” Tickets are $30 per person. All proceeds will benefit the programs and services of St. Mary’s Hospital and their five satellite medical clinics. Advance reservations can be made by calling Cheri Holthaus, 962-2327 or May, 476-8052. Tickets can also be purchased at SMH, Grangeville Physical Therapy, the Kamiah Medical Clinic and Cedar Creek Creations and True Value Hardware in Kamiah, plus US Bank in Cottonwood. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with a no host bar social hour planned for the first hour. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. a live and silent auction will feature locally and regionally made gifts and gift packages. Dancing will begin at 8:00 and the Funny Money Casino will be open from 9:30 to 11:30. “The evening will feature something for everyone,” said May. “We depend upon the support of all the communities we serve to continue to provide award winning healthcare locally.” |
