Blood drive set for Tuesday
Traditionally, summer is a time for going to baseball games, enjoying the sun, and spending time outdoors.  Unfortunately, summer is also a time when blood donations can slow down considerably.  Schools are out and families are busy with vacations and other activities and donating blood just doesn’t happen as often as it does other times of the year.  But the need is still there for victims of accidents, premature babies, and people with diseases.  This June, give the ultimate gift – the gift of life.
Cottonwood’s next blood drive is scheduled for June 7th at the Cottonwood Community Hall from noon to 6:00.  Please call 962-3251 and ask for Brenda or 962-2327 and ask for Cheri to set up an appointment to give blood.  It only takes an hour out of your busy schedule.  Valid identification is required for all blood donations.  Any healthy person age 17 or older and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood.
