Cub Scouts attend Day Camp
Three Cub Scouts from Pack 638 attended the Day Camp in Craigmont on July 11th  and 12th. Caleb Butler, Cole Martin and Matt Coppernoll attended the camp along with Leaders Aleta Coppernoll, Roger Burgess and Shari Chaffee.  The theme for this years camp was "Wild, Wild West."  The boys were teamed up with a pack from Orofino.  They had to come up with their own den yell. The boys attended 6 different stations each day and learned many scouting skills including knot tying, leather working, teamwork and decision making.  They were taught the proper way to shoot BB guns, archery and sling shots.  Some of the crafts included making rain sticks, a covered wagon and a leather slide for their neckerchiefs.  We played many games that kids would have played during the wild west era and did relays.  The boys made new friends whom we hope to see again when we attend Camp Grizzley in a few weeks. The boys were commended as being on of the best behaved groups that was in attendance.  Our community has much to be proud of in these boys.
