Third Jam'n in the Park held
July 21 saw the third Thursday evening session of Jam地 in the Park at the Craigmont City Park.
Once again the evening was cool, there was a light shower and a gentle breeze.
The musicians came determined to perform, not caring what the weather was going to be, under the cover of our newly refinished Pavilion. It looks great! Thank you Erle Striebeck and Dave Tatko for the job you did.
The musicians were Francis and Netta Ellsworth of Ferdinand, both played guitars; Andy Smith of Lewiston played guitar; Max Stevens of Winchester sang; Daryl Taniguchi (Daryl D.) played keyboard, harmonica and sang. He痴 originally from Hawaii. Gina Bina of Grangeville and Suzie Eaton of Craigmont also played guitar and sang.
Our own John Hahn of Craigmont, owner of Hahn Tractor Seats, did a wonderful job as MC for Jam地 this year. He won稚 be able to MC next week for the last one. He has truly blessed us with his ability to make people laugh, relax and have a good time. Thank you to all the performers and John Hahn.
The concessions were provided by Primeland as it was their Customer Appreciation Barbecue. They served burgers and hot dogs with all the condiments, baked beans, potato and fruit salads, chips and all kinds of beverages. Everyone did a great job keeping the burgers coming as the line of hungry people went through. The food was delicious and the barbecue was well attended as always. It is very nice of Primeland to put on this event each year and try to do it in conjuction with Jam地 in the Park. It works well for both parties. Thank you Primeland.
The 50/50 tickets sold by the Fire Department are always a big hit. The winner for the evening was Dennis (Jug) Thomason of Ferdinand. He had the winning ticket for $68. Thank you to all who participated in supporting the Craigmont Fire Department.
As the evening came to a close, the last song was sung, the last music was played and another time of Jam地 in the Park was enjoyed. We hope to see you again for the final Jam地 in the Park from 6 to 9 p.m. next Thursday, July 28. The Craigmont Fire Department will provide the concessions. Come and join us in Beautiful Craigmont, Idaho!
