Baune, Keating are Friends of 4-H winners
Sarah Baune of Grangeville was awarded a set of luggage for top Making the Most of Me award while Samantha Keating of Cottonwood was awarded an upright mixer for top Advanced Foods award.
The sewing machine for top creative sewing went unclaimed as there were no applicants who met the criteria. These are the Friends of 4-H Awards that are awarded at each year’s fair. It is the second straight year only 2 of the 3 awards were given.
Constructed Clothing
Kate Lustig won the top award for Beginner Clothing (Ready, Set, Sew and Sew Some More). Mattie Lustig and Trista Latimer were the runners-up. Lizz Forsmann was the top winner in Intermediate Clothing (Seams So Easy and Sew What) while Heidi Holubetz was runner-up. Holli Uhlorn was the top winner in Advanced Clothing (Sew Wow) while Monica Lustig was runner-up.
In Making the Most of Me Ciara Chaffee of Cottonwood was the Setting the Stage winner with Krystin Uhlenkott of Cottonwood the Phase I winner, Abbie Uhlenkott of Cottonwood the Phase II winner and Sarah Baune of Grangeville the Phase IV winner.
Top Models
Trista Latimer was the top beginner model for constructed clothing with Lizz Forsmann the intermediate winner and Monica Lustig the advanced winner.
Kodie Tidell was the Making the Most of Me-Setting the Stage top model while Hailey Danly was the Phase I top model, Holli Uhlorn the Phase II top model and Sarah Baune the Phase IV top model.
Foods
Top beginning foods winner was Matt Payne while Holli Uhlorn was the intermediate winner and Megan Johnston the advanced foods winner. Andrea Kaschmitter won the cake decorating top project ribbon.
4-H Specialty Projects
Top Leathercraft award went to Marisa Lustig.
Top Photography award went to Charise Allen.
Outstanding Leadership award went to Sarah Baune.
Top Secretary Book award went to Micaela Farris.
Sarah Baune received the Citizenship & Civic Education Division top project award.
In Communicative and Expressive Arts Molly DeFord was 1st with a card making project; Darby Finnegan was second with a scrapbooking project; Laina Sonnen was third with a ceramics project; Bridget Lusich was 4th with a tole painting project; Joe Jones was 5th with a clowning project and Hunter Angeny was 5th with a music project.
In Environmental Education and Earth Sciences Laura Spencer was 1st with an archery project; Sophia Bush was 2nd with a geology project; Elizabeth Orgish was 3rd with a horticulture project and Hannah Hicks with 4th with a geology project.
In Family & Consumer Sciences Davi Murphy was first with a quilting project.
In Science & Technology Savannah Thanstrom was first with a vet science project and Abbie Uhlenkott was second, also with a vet science project.
