Girl Scout news
Girl Scout Troop 3785 held their first meeting of this school year at Prairie Elementary School on Monday, Sept. 12.
Activities at the meeting included making homemade ice cream, decorating invitations for the upcoming ceremony, and receiving year end badges and awards.
The Girl Scout year goes until the end of September when we will have our bridging ceremony for girls moving to the next level. Girls who will be bridging include Anna Everson, Olivia Klapprich, Trinity Martinez, Josie Remacle, Ciara Chaffee and Martina Everson.
The new Girl Scout year starts the first of October and we already have activities planned for the fall. At least two scouts, Ciara Chaffee and Leann Lightfield, will be attending a camping weekend with their mothers the end of September. In October we plan to take the girls to Lewiston for the corn maze and in November we may help with the Veterans Day ceremony. For December we plan to take the troop ice-skating in Lewiston.
We are always looking for additional members. We will be passing out information at the school and may have a parent information night in the near future. If anyone has any questions about the program you can call either Heather Lightfield at 208-816-1452 or Shari Chaffee at 962-3559.
