Lady Patriots are 2-1 on the week
A busy week netted the Summit Patriots two league wins and one loss.
They traveled to Timberline on Monday to take on the Division II Spartans, prevailing in 3 games 25-20, 25-12 and 25-20. Kill leaders for the match were Savanah Prigge with 10 and Kayla Schumacher with 8. Assists were contributed by Nicole Frei with 12 and Brooke Schumacher with 18. Dig and pass leaders included Megan Rehder with 7, Kayla Schumacher with 10 and Nicole Frei with 8 Frei also led the serving effort with 12 successful serves including a run of 9 in game 2 which included 4 aces.
In the prelim Summit was able to take one of the three games played.
At Highland on Tuesday the Patriots prevailed again, taking down the Huskies 25-18, 25-12 and 25-13. Service leaders included Nicole Wemhoff with a 13 for 13 effort at the line, Nicole Frei 12 for 13 with 2 aces and Rehder with a 7 for 7 effort including 3 aces. Prigge again led with 13 kills with Kayla Schumacher adding 8. Assist leaders included Frei with 23 and Brooke Schumacher with 13. Summit also swept the junior Huskies with scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 15-12.
Thursday evening at Prairie High School, the Patriots hosted Division II leading Nezperce and after a long and exciting 5-game match, fell to the Indians 17-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-17 and 10-15. Prigge with 23 and Kayla Schumacher with 14 led the kill effort, while Prigge and Wemhoff excelled at the service line with 26 of 27 successful serves and 10 of 11 with 1 ace respectively. Set, dig and pass leaders included Frei with 30, Brooke Schumacher also with 30 and Wemhoff with 24.
In the prelim Nezperce took all three games, 18-25, 23-25 and 9-15.
The week’s effort raised the Summit record for the season to 7-5 overall with a 4 and 3 record in the White Pine standings. 
Games remaining include a home match with Kamiah this past Tuesday and league foes Troy and Lapwai next week. The Lapwai match is a home one for Summit played in the Prairie Auxiliary Gym (former Elementary gym).
