Last Thursday, Summit traveled to Highland and played a 2-quarter JV game, winning 17-6, followed by a Summit victory in the varsity game, 58-30.
Savanah Prigge topped all scorers with 23 points and added 11 boards. Sarah Chmelik and Kayla Schumacher helped out on the boards with 7 each and Nicole Wemhoff and Brooke Schumacher dished out 7 and 6 assists respectively.
Scoring was spread over most of the team with Rachael Frei scoring 5, Nicole Frei 7, Kayla Schumacher 4, Wemhoff 1, Megan Seubert 2, Brooke Schumacher 9 and Megan Rehder 6.
Score by quarters was 21-4, 36-15, 52-24 and 58-30 with subs playing most of the 2nd and 4th quarters.
Traveling to New Meadows Friday, Summit jumped out early on first round opponent Council 16-0, and with subs playing half of the remaining game, moved ahead 23-3 at halftime, 34-3 at the third quarter break and finished 42-5 with a most effective defense to qualify for the tourney finals on Saturday against host New Meadows.

Summit Academy’s 3-game winning streak came to a sudden end Monday, Nov. 21, as the CV girls, second in the state last year in 1A Division 1, broke open a tight game in the second half to pull away from the Patriots 55-28.
Score by quarters: 12-8, 22-19, 42-22 and the final of 55-28, C.V. listed first each time.
The third quarter proved to be a disaster for the Patriots as they could connect on only 1 of 14 shots taken while at the same time making only 1 of 6 foul shots. Add that to 12 turnovers committed at inopportune times and that doomed the Patriots to their first loss of the season.
Scoring, rebounds, assists stats for the Patriots: Rachael Frei 0, 0, 0; Nicole Frei 5, 3, 1; Sarah Chmelik 0, 2, 0; Kayla Schumacher 3, 2, 0; Nicole Wemhoff 1, 5, 1; Megan Seubert 0, 1, 0; Brooke Schumacher 5, 5, 2; Savanah Prigge 14, 11, 0 and Megan Rehder 0, 1, 1.
The Lady Patriots were to play at Kamiah on Tuesday, Nov. 22 and then are off until after Thanksgiving when they play at Nezperce on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
