From the Commissioners
Recently inspectors from the Indian Health Services acting as representatives for the Environmental Protection Agency have been showing up at area businesses located within Idaho County and the so called reservation boundary and requesting information about their hazardous waste disposal and dust emissions. These agents have no authority offered by any current federal statutes and are acting outside their jurisdictional boundaries. The Idaho County Commission is advising any business which receives a visit from anyone representing Indian Health services or any federal agency, to politely ask for their card and then ask them to leave, and contact the Idaho County Commissioner’s office. If they do not honor your request you can contact the Idaho County Sheriff’s Department and have them arrested for trespassing.  If you have been visited by anyone representing the EPA you can also contact the commissioner’s office and report the incidence.
Thank You,
Idaho County Commission
