The Prairie wrestling may be short on numbers but high on quality as they had 4 first place finishers, 1 second place finisher and 1 fourth place finisher while taking second place in the team standings at the Orofino Invitational Tournament Friday, Jan.13 and Saturday, Jan. 14.
Hunter McWilliams pinned Colton Mitchell of St. Maries in the championship match at 120 lbs.
Alex Duman pinned Zach Wilkins of Kamiah in the 126 lb. championship match.
Kade Perrin won a 6-4 decision over Lewiston’s Carson Frei in the 138 lb. championship match.
Garrett Schmidt won a 12-6 decision over Shawn Johnson of Elgin in the 195 lb. championship match.
Dally Ratcliff took second at 113 lbs. when he lost by pin to Erik Martin of St. Maries in the championship match.
Justin Ross took 4th place at 120 lbs. when he lost by pin to Patrick Rummell of Wallace in the consolation final.
