Blue & Gold Banquet held
The Cub Scouts from Pack 638 held their Blue and Gold Banquet on Thursday Feb.23rd.
This was a potluck event with parents, grandparents, family and friends in attendance.  All 10 members of the pack earned their rank advancement badges.
They have been working very hard to earn these awards and we are very proud of their achievements.
Those earning awards were: Tiger Cubs: Torry Chmelik, Jordan Farnworth, Jordan Quick and Keenan Shears.  Wolf Cubs: Travis Alfrey, James Biltz, and Caleb Butler.  Bear Cubs: Zach Arnzen, Matt Coppernoll and Cole Martin.  In addition to earning their badges, the boys presented their parents with a pin to honor their role in this scouting achievement.
Our guest speaker was Don Owen, from Grangeville.  He introduced our new District Representative, Allan Lusby, whom we immediately welcomed to the pack by including him in a skit.  Thanks to Allan, Roger Burgess and Joe Biltz for being such good sports.
The boys entertained the crowd with skits and songs.  The evening was topped off with the cake raffle.  Each boy, with some help from a parent, made a cake or baked item to raffle off. This raised $165.00 to help with expenses.

Dan Karel talked with the scouts about pocket knife safety and shared his early experience handling a knife.

Wolf Cub Caleb Butler is all smiles as he presents his Mom, Jessica with her wolf pin.
