Summit competes at Lewiston Invitational
Summit Academy’s first track team in several years started off the season by competing at the Lewiston Invitational Saturday, March 17.
Their only scoring competitors were the girls 4x100 relay team of Brooke Schumacher, Nicole Wemhoff, Sarah Chmelik and Kayla Schumacher which placed 5th in a time of 59.37.
Brooke Schumacher also placed 15th in the 100 in 14.96, 16th in the 200 in 31.89 and 19th in the long jump at 12’7”.
Chmelik placed 16th in the 100 in 15.02, 15th in the 200 in 31.54 and 13th in the long jump at 13’3¼”.
Kayla Schumacher was 13th in the 200 in 31.23 and 22nd in the long jump at 11’2½”. She competed in the high jump but did not make opening height.
Wemhoff was 15th in the 800 in 2:55.63 and 21st in the long jump at 11’4”.
For the boys team Dan Wemhoff was 20th in the 100 in 13.37, 15th in the 800 in 2:25.18, 13th in the high jump at 5’0” and 16th in the long jump at 16’1”.
Josh Frei was 20th in the 800 in 3:05.92.
