Walk for Life set for May 12
Mark your calendar to enjoy the fresh air, get some exercise, and celebrate moms this Mother’s Day weekend at the 2012 Walk for Life event in Grangeville!  The Walk will be held on Saturday, May 12, from the Grangeville City Park to Grangeville High School. The festivities will include giveaways, prize drawings for adults and kids, and post-Walk celebration and rally at the GHS Cafetorium with free hot dogs, chili, chips, cookies, and beverages for participants and supporters. Registration is at 9:00 a.m. at the City Park (across from Les Schwab), and the Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.
The Walk For Life is the major annual fundraiser for the Hope and Clearwater Valley Pregnancy & Life Skills Centers in Grangeville and Kamiah. The Centers provide free pregnancy tests; confidential counseling about unplanned pregnancy and options; more than 100 free parenting and life skills classes for women, men, and families; and free infant, toddler, and maternity supplies for class participants. 
Event prizes are provided by the Blue Fox Theater, Grangeville City Pool, Crema Café, Green Acres Nursery, Home Grown Quilts, Les Schwab, Lindsley’s, Potlatch Federal Credit Union, Bountiful Baskets, Preferred Physical Therapy, Second Hand Treasures, and Subway. 
Event supplies and logistics sponsors include Asker’s Harvest Foods, Avista, Cash & Carry Foods, Clearwater Valley Harvest Foods, City of Grangeville, and Gortsema Motors.
