Letters to the editor from this week's Chronicle:

Letter to the Editor:
I want to introduce you to Shannon McMillan, who is now our representative in District 7, from up in the Wallace area.  Since the redistricting, we are in her area.  McMillian has served one term and works well with Paul Shepherd and Sheryl Nuxoll. She has been facing issues of the mines closing, just as we are facing the problems with the logging and farming industries.  She is a common sense person, and would do a good job for us in Idaho County.  Much better than the guy who just crosses out the last campaign sign and doesn’t bother to put what he is running for this time.  The comment was made concerning Shannon McMillian, “She sounds like she is from Idaho County.”  Please vote for Shannon McMillian on May 15th.

Dear Editor,
At the Idaho County Republican Central Committee candidate night held April 17, Steve Didier Sr. stated that he has been an Independent most of his life.  At the Chamber Forum held April 26, Mr. Didier stated that he is a Republican and then added, a moderate Republican.  So which is it?  Independent or Republican?
At the Chamber Forum, Mr Didier stated he is a proponent of boosting employment in Idaho County, yet he also stated that the late Democrat Senator Frank Church did a very good thing in getting the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act in place--an Act that robbed Idaho County of jobs and has left us dependent on Federal paycheck.  So which is it?  For Idaho County or against?
Sincerely,
Marge Arnzen
Idaho County Republican Chair

A Candidate Who Will Work For Us
Steve Didier, Sr. says this in his brochure about wanting to be our next Idaho County Commissioner:
"I have the desire, knowledge of the county and land use practices, and the time to dedicate to making sure our county is economically sound."
Steve, I, and many others volunteer our time to the Back Country Horseman of North Central Idaho, he has always had a straight forward approach to researching issues and focusing on the facts.
Many people in the county say we need a new voice in the commission. Here is someone who is willing to work for us.
Steve Didier, Sr. (Republican) has my vote in the May 15 primary. I hope you will help by doing the same.
