Library News
April was National Library Month and several activities took place in the library during this time.  Each time an individual visited the library they placed their name in the container for a year's membership.
The winners were, Sally Nuxoll and Janet Hattrup.  Congratulations to these ladies and thank you to everyone who participated in celebrating this event.  Not to be outdone, the children could enter their name and choose a small gift each time they visited.  It was interesting to watch which item appealed to each child.  Thanks, kids, for your support of the library too, and don't forget the Summer reading program will be here soon where there will be more activities, prizes, crafts, and refreshments.
Recently the library was the recipient of several memorial contributions in remembrance of Ladd Arnoti.  This fund has been ear-marked for purchase of electronic equipment.  Thanks to those who remembered the library in this manner.
Don't forget the yard sale May 19th in the Community Hall.  There are a few tables still available for rent.  There will be a food court consisting of pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw salad and a drink for a very reasonable price.   Vendors will be displaying beautiful hand made items.  Tenderly used children's clothing will be available along with a very large selection of good condition books for all ages.   Chances will be sold on a 22 rifle with all proceeds going toward purchase of children's books for the library.  This is possible through the generosity of Stacie and Gary Milliman who donated the rifle.  The drawing will be held in conjunction with the Raspberry Festival.  All proceeds from the yard sale will also benefit the children's section of the library.
There are still a few Blue Spruce trees available for the asking.  If you are interested, stop by the library and pick them up.  The sun is shining, the grass needs mowing, there are two new born "minnies" in the pasture...Spring must be here.
