Scholarships awarded
Idaho County Farm Bureau announced the winners of three $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors to further their education. The winners from Prairie High School are Torin Shane Dalgliesh and Samantha Jo Keating. 
Torin, son of Lisa Dalgliesh, Ferdinand and Timothy Dalgliesh, Cottonwood, plans to attend Lewis-Clark State College in the fall, majoring in Radiology.
Samantha, daughter of Susanne Keating, Cottonwood, plans to take courses in Accounting/Business Administration at Whitworth or Gonzaga University.
The third recipient of a scholarship is Jacob Alan Squires, a graduate from Clearwater Valley High School, Kooskia. His parents are Larry and Carrie Squires, Kooskia. He plans to take courses in Nursing at Blue Mountain Community College or Lewis-Clark State College.
Scholarship applications received from Derek Nuxoll and Savanah Prigge have been forwarded to Idaho Farm Bureau in Pocatello to compete with the other four districts of the state for two $750 scholarships.
