Golf Scramble set for Sept. 23
St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics will be hosting their annual golf scramble on Sunday, September 23 at the Grangeville Country Club.  All proceeds will go towards the remodeling project of the St. Mary’s Emergency Room.
“We limit the number of four person teams to 15 and use the scramble format so everyone is guaranteed a good time.  We have openings for both donors and golfers, said Cheri Holthaus, SMHC Foundation Coordinator.  “The scramble is followed by a dinner of tri-tip steak and each golfer is free to invite a guest to dinner; it’s included in the $50.00 entry fee.”
Registration for the tournament begins at 1:00 with tee off at 2:00.   Teams who register for the 18 hole scramble must have a minimum combined team handicap of 55 and only one player per team can have a handicap of 12 or less.  Each team must use every player’s drive at least twice. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams.  There will also be several on-course prizes awarded.
Registration forms are available at the Grangeville Country club or you may call Cheri Holthaus as 962-2327 to register your team.

Cheri Holthaus shows off the visor and bag that will be given to each golfer who enters the golf tournament.  These are just two of the items the golfers will receive; they will also receive a mini first aid kit and binoculars.
