Ribbon cutting for Craigmont industrial park
Clearwater Economic Development Association (CEDA) announces the formal opening of the Craig Mountain Business Park.  The opening will be marked with a Ribbon Cutting and Open House, September 27, 2012.
The Craig Mountain Business Park, located in Craigmont, ID is the home to Idaho’s only lost-foam foundry and is the result of collaboration and partnerships that include the Idaho State Department of Commerce, USDA Rural Development, Idaho Small Business Development Center and Washington State University Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.
The business park has been redeveloped from a former lumber mill site that served the Craigmont community for several decades to a site for a lost foam foundry and complementary business activity.  The site is currently owned by Clearwater Economic Development Association who purchased the property specifically for the development of Ende Machine & Foundry which occupies approximately 7 acres of the site.  In 2011, the City of Craigmont was awarded Idaho Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of $500,000 matched with $39,000 of CEDA funds to extend a street into the park and provide necessary water, sewer, power, and broadband conduit utilities.  Construction was complete in November 2011.  Three additional parcels are now ready for occupancy.
CEDA has scheduled a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Park for Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at 510 N. 5th Avenue, Craigmont; the public is invited.  The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will commence at 1:15pm and tours of Ende Machine and Foundry will be offered on the half hour.  Contact CEDA, 208-746-0015, for more information.
