for Haiti Mission 2016
Tis the season for fundraising! The month of December will host an array of events that will help benefit Haiti Mission 2016. On Sunday, December 9th during the Knights of Columbus breakfast, there will be a silent bid for a beautiful statue of Our Mother of Guadalupe, which was brought from Tijuana, Mexico. Please come and enjoy a great breakfast, and place a bid on the statue, which will greatly support the mission team. A Sanctus fundraiser will also be held for three days throughout the month of December. Members of the mission team will be selling religious art, such as rosaries, medals, scapulars, and other religious jewelry. There will be a jewelry fundraiser following Saturday evening mass in Ferdinand on December 8th and 15.th Also, there will be a fundraiser following Sunday morning mass at St. Mary’s in Cottonwood, and St. Anthony’s mass in Greencreek on December 16.th Please help support Haiti Mission 2016 by purchasing some of the great jewelry that will be available. Christmas is the season for giving, and jewelry will make a perfect gift for a loved one. The annual Alumni Game is set for Friday, December 28th. The women’s game will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the men’s game will follow. It will take place at the new Prairie Elementary School in the Auxiliary Gym. All graduates of St. Gertrude’s Academy, Prairie High School, and Summit Academy are welcome to join at a cost of $10 per player. Regular admission is $4 for adults, $3 for students, and $2 for seniors. Ages preschool and under is free. Concessions will be available throughout the event. Contests will also be run throughout half-time. Please come and enjoy the game, have some fun, and help support Haiti Mission 2016. |
