Letters to the editor from this week's Chronicle:

Dear Editor:
I know this is late notice but we are hoping to get in touch with some from the Kaufman family of Idaho and Illinois.  We are getting ready to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Fred and Josepha Kaufman Romain Homestead by hosting a reunion at the original homestead south of Chester, MT July 4-5.  Fred and Josepha were united in marriage in Keuterville, ID in 1908.  Fred was from Lively Grove, IL and Josepha was born in Green Creek, IL.  They homesteaded to Montana in 1913 from Keuterville, ID.
This reunion is to honor the determination, dedication and endurance of Fred and Josepha to forge a better life for all their descendants.  We are of course extending that to their brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and children of their uncles and aunts.  If anyone related to my Grandfather Fred Romain or Grandma Josepha Kaufman (daughter of Joseph Kaufman and Elizabeth Nuxoll Kaufman) would like to come to the Reunion in Montana, please contact me and I will send you an invitation.  We had a reunion in 1987 as well.
Thank you,
Angela Romain
