Library news
Hey, Kids, Summer reading starts this week.   "DIG INTO READING" is the theme and promises to be an exciting adventure.  Sign up is Thursday at 1:pm in the library.
While there be sure to check out the new reading material for youth and children.  There are many new arrivals to select from.  Among them Is "LITTLE PRINCESS" by Conor Grennan and "LOVE FINDS YOU IN NORTH POLE ALASKA by Loree Lough.
New adult arrivals this week include:
"A COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS" by author Lori Wilde.
Lissette Moncrief is in trouble.  Her son needs a series of tests that she can't afford because her late husband left his life insurance to a half-brother she never even knew existed.  The last thing she needs is to be in a car accident.
"PORCH LIGHTS" by Dorothea Benton Frank.  Newly widowed army nurse, Jackie McMullen has returned with her 10 year old son who has been despondent since the death of his father.  Jackie believes South Carolina's sparkling shores can work wonders.  But her broken heart is another story.  Dealing with her narcissistic mother is not something she relishes.
Another publication by Dorothea Benton Frank is "FOLLY BEACH".  Cate Cooper doesn't find out about her husband's secret life until after his funeral, when everything she owns is confiscated.  Suddenly broke and homeless, she heads back to South Carolina, to open arms of her elderly aunt, who moves Cate into a cottage she owns, that will change her life.  Peopled with wonderful zany characters and one particularly handsome professor, Folly Beach reminds us that it's never too late to live our dreams.
The recent book signing by Author Trebor Fairwell was received very well by the public.  His book, "The land of the Horrid Frontier" is available at the library also.
