Letters to the editor from this week's Chronicle:

Dear Editor
Finally, a touch of common sense on global warming. In the Tribune of June 20, Dana Milbank wrote, "momentum has shifted in part to preparing for the inevitable consequences of a warmer planet." I believe the earth is warming but the main cause is a natural cycle, not human activity. Instead of crippling our remaining industry with anti-warming regulations that probably won't work anyway, let's prepare. I would take that one step more and say: let's react. If warming continues and problems arise let's solve them as they occur.
My favorite quote ever is from General Eisenhower, "Don't make the wrong decision too soon." Good advice.
