Volunteers are sought
Volunteers and items are sought to help with the upcoming Warbird Weekend, July 13-14, at the Idaho County Airport in Grangeville. 
Between six to nine volunteers and three unmarked cabanas/coverings are needed to sell programs and take donations at three entrances. Between four to six volunteers are needed to help coordinate parking.
The second annual Warbird Weekend event will feature historic aircraft rides and displays, free Young Eagles flights for youth (ages 8 to 17), tours of Anderson Aeromotive and the USFS smokejumper base, and a remote control aircraft demonstration. Events run Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting with breakfast at the airport. Event items, including T-shirts and event posters will be for sale, and a food and beer garden will be offered.
Young Eagles registration forms are available at Sterling Bank in Grangeville and Kooskia, and US Bank in Grangeville, Cottonwood and Nezperce; mail completed forms to Melisa Bryant, P.O. Box 393, Grangeville, ID 83530. Preregistration for rides in the B-25 bomber “Grumpy” are $495 per person or $2,500 for a group of six; call Historic Flight Foundation visitor services, 425-348-3200.
