Idaho County Fair is this week
The 2013 Idaho County Fair officially kicked off Wednesday morning with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
With the exception of the 4-H Dog show and 4-H Rabbit show at 9:30 a.m., both at the Vernon Agee Pavilion, the rest of Wednesday morning was devoted to entering 4-H and open class projects.
The 4-H Poultry is set for 1 p.m. with the Pigtail Contest set for 1:30 p.m.
4-H Livestock will be entered and weighed in from 3 to 8 p.m.
At 7 p.m. is the 4-H Fashion Show.
Thursday at 8 a.m. the 4-H and FFA Livestock Judging Contest will be held followed by the Fitting and Showing Livestock Contest at 9:30 a.m.
From 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Smiles the Clown will be on the fairgrounds.
From 5 to 7 p.m. the Idaho/Lewis County Cattlemen’s Beef Barbecue will be held at the Cabana in the City Park.
At 7 p.m. will be Two-Minute Talent Show in the Schmidt Building.
Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon the 4-H and FFA Livestock Quality Judging will be held. It will continue at 1 p.m.
Also at 1 p.m. will be the Championship 4-H Horse Fitting and Showing Contest. At the conclusion of all livestock judging the Showmanship Round Robin Contest will be held.
From 4 to 7 p.m. the Prairie Booster Club will have their Potato Bar at the City Park.
From 5 to 7 Josh Crosby and his Awesome Band will be providing entertainment in the Arena Building 
At 7 p.m. the 2014 Idaho County Fair Royalty candidates will be introduced and the 2014 Royalty will be crowned.
After the Royalty Crowning the 4-H Green Swing Dance will be held in the Agee Livestock Pavilion.
Saturday at 10 a.m. is the Idaho County Fair Parade on Main Street in Cottonwood. Form up will be at The Hangout.
At noon the 4-H Awards will be presented at the Livestock Pavilion.
Also at noon the Idaho County Sheriff’s Department will hold a canine demonstration.
At 1 p.m. is the annual 4-H Market Livestock Sale.

New at the Fair this year are misters atop the Agee Livestock Pavilion (the four lightning rod like items on the roof) to help keep the place cool during the week. They along with new fans in the pig barn and the arena building restrooms were donated by Intermountain Feed of Lewiston.
