From the Library
With school starting and several new families in the community, this month the library will be offering a free, one-year membership to those who have never been a library patron. Check at the library to see if you qualify.
While there, enjoy the display by local artist, Emily McHugh, a junior at Prairie High school and newly selected First Princess for the Idaho County Fair Royalty.
Back to school also meant back to the Library for several students. It was exciting to see these young people in their new clothes with new haircuts as they carefully selected just the right books to begin this chapter of their lives. An old saying came to mind, “Learn while you’re young, and not while you’re old, that a good education is better than gold, for silver and gold will all melt away, but a good education will never decay.
Just arrived is a great selection of LARGE PRINT books, by popular authors including Sherryl Woods, Danielle Steel, David Baldacci, Susan Wiggs, Barbara Bretton, Debbie Macomber and Nora Roberts. In addition, a variety of cassette books on tape is new arrivals.
Come in and check them out.
Thank you to the anonymous donors whose items at Pacific Steel, were credited to the Library. We appreciate your continued support.
Remember, October 26th is the date for the fifth annual Bräts and Brew Fest.
A fun filled evening is guaranteed. Returning once again will be the popular music by the Coffey Twins and the Satins.
Donations of Auction items will be appreciated. If you happen to have large baskets in good condition they also are needed.
