Library News
The fifth annual Library Fund Raiser is less than two weeks away. Entries are coming in, the deadline is next Monday if you wish to be in the contest. Entries received after this date will not be eligible for competition as the programs, ballots etc. must be printed next week. First place winner in each of the five categories, Bräts, Beer, Salad/Side dish, Bread or Dessert will receive a fifty dollar bill. This event is the financial life line to the Library. It is the only Library from Moscow to Riggins and beyond that is not funded by tax dollars. It is a “stand alone entity” with all volunteer workers. In addition to Cottonwood it serves the areas of Ferdinand, Greencreek and Keuterville.
Again this year, young people from high school and Debbie Chicane’s youth group will be auctioned for a variety of jobs. This was popular last year and positive comments were reported. If you have a job that requires help, this is your opportunity.
By popular request, returning for the fourth year in a row are “The Coffey Twins and the Satins. They provide not only good dance music but also an evening of entertainment. Tickets are on sale at $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Table reservations may be made by calling the library at 962-3714. Don’t miss out on this fun filled evening while supporting a good cause.
