FREE Movie “WaterWalk” this weekend features humor, adventure and the importance of family.A scene from the movie WaterWalk.
The Hope Center and Blue Fox Theater in Grangeville are co-sponsoring a free movie this Sunday, October 27, with two showings at 1:30 and 3:30 pm.
The movie stars Robert Cicchini (Godfather III, The Mentalist, NYPD Blue, Law & Order, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, CSI, CSI NY, NCIS, 24, The Closer, Without a Trace, Cold Case) and Chase Maser (The Lake Effect, Family Weekend, AWOL, A Chance of Rain) as a father and son who attempt a 1,000-mile canoe trip across the Midwest. They struggle against the elements and each other as they seek to re-connect and understand their own journeys.
The film is based on a true story by Steven Faulker, about recreating the historic Marquette-Joliet discovery route of the Mississippi.
Says Tom Long of The Detroit News, “Touching and real…the film is rich. Something is forged here, something strong and worthwhile.”
The Dove Foundation writes, “WaterWalk is filmed mainly in the great outdoors and the scenery is truly breathtaking…This is a movie of bonding and taking the time to show your family just how important they are to you. We are pleased to award WaterWalk our Dove ‘Family-Approved’ Seal for ages 12 and over.”
