Library News
The annual Bräts and Brew was once again a huge success. A wonderful crowd attended the gala event last Saturday evening.
Everyone enjoyed the beautiful table decorations created by Pat Trautman.
The food entries provided excellent samples to enhance the taste bud with Jim Schumacher and Joe Kuther winning the Bräts category. Sonnen meats also provided Bräts. The side dish winner was Rhonda Schmidt who served ”Clarice’s” Sauerkraut Soup. The Bread winner was Amy Rose and dessert was Julie Arnzen. Each winner was awarded $50 cash prize. It was a very close contest and each sample was equally delicious. Julie Arnzen has provided copies, available at the Library, of her winning dessert entry.
The Library board provided home made sauerkraut and scalloped potatoes. The auction had excellent participation, as did the entertainment throughout the evening. The Coffey Twins and the Satins were spot on with Elvis returning once again to thrill the women with his rendition of beautiful songs. A grateful thank you to each and everyone who supported the library in so many different ways.
