Prairie Schools to hold Veterans Day program
Prairie Schools Veterans Day Program Set for Monday, November 11, at Prairie Jr/Sr High School gym at 9:30am.
We will have refreshments for Veterans and their spouses in the Prairie Jr/Sr High School gym on Veterans Day, November 11, beginning at 8:30am.  Parking for veterans will be reserved in the upper parking lot.  The Veterans Day program will begin at 9:30 am.  All veterans and their families are encouraged to participate in this day honoring them for their great service to our country.  
John Eynon will be the guest speaker at the event and following is a Summary of Military Vitae form him: Commander John Eynon, United States Navy, retired, served 17 years of active service and 3 years in the Individual Ready Reserve to retire with full benefits from his military service.  Among his many endeavors in the U.S. Navy, CDR Eynon managed the mobilization of Navy Reserve Commands, Aviation and Surface Units for Operation Desert Storm.  He also provided port and harbor security and strategic coordinated operations with Navy Special Forces to protect the US Navy fleet during operations with the Republic of South Korea.  Throughout his years of service, CDR Eynon was awarded three Navy Achievement Medals, two Meritorious Unit Commendation Medals, a Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal for Air Operations during the Haiti crisis, three Aircrew Operational Efficiency Awards, two Navy Expeditionary Medals for service in a hostile theatre during operations in Libya and Grenada, the Navy Sea Service Ribbon, and the Expert Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship ribbons.
