Madison St. can be used for sledding
The Cottonwood City Council, in an effort to increase safety, has agreed to close Madison Street for sleigh riding.  This is the steep hill behind Primeland, on the Southwest edge of town that goes up to the water towers.
There will be ROAD CLOSED signs near the edge of the roadway.  What we are asking folks to do is simply drag the sign into the road when they are there, and drag it out when they leave.
Over the years there have been many roads in town that have become 'opportunity" sledding hills.  We are trying to avoid that, as the motoring traffic doesn't realize that there may be a youth sliding down the same road that their vehicle is sliding on.  We are asking everyone to please, utilize the Madison Street hill, for your, and the traveling public's safety.
