Heavenly Scent – A Soap Making Primer
Sat. March 8th; 9-2:30
At: Monastery of St. Gertrude
Sr. Carlotta Fontes;  Cost: $54
This class has been offered every semester for the past six years.  Why?  Because some of the people taking it never plan to make soap at home.  They want to go to the Monastery, enjoy the company, enjoy the wonderful lunch, see how others choose to compose their soap and then take home a supply of soap – made just the way they like it.  When they run out, they sign up and take the class again.  This class has just eight seats and four are already filled so call quickly if you want one.
Keep the Money in the Family – Plan Your Estate!
Tues, March 11th; 6:30-8:30 pm
At: GEMS Community Room
Attorney Jenneane Musegades; Cost: $20
Is it worth my time and money to have an estate plan?  Is a simple will enough or should I have a trust?  I told my family who I want to take care of my kids – is that enough?  What are the options for land-rich/cash-poor farm families?  It’s hard enough to deal with the loss of a loved one without adding the legal issues of losing most of the estate to taxes.  A little pre-planning can make the process so much easier.  Learn the difference between a will and a trust as well as the burdens of each.  Long-term care financial decisions, living wills and powers and attorney are also part of the estate planning process.  Learn the plan that is perfect for your family.
Finding the Fun in a Vegan Diet
Thurs, March 11th; 6:30 – 8:30 pm
At:  Grangeville High School
Diana Higgins; Cost:  $30
No meat, no dairy, no eggs – what’s left?  Are you curious about trying a vegan diet but don’t know where to start?  In this class, we will be cooking and sampling delicious foods you could serve to your family or guests without them even guessing they were vegan.  There was been an explosion of creative recipes and products that make it easy to eliminate animal products from one’s diet without feeling deprived.  You will come away from this class inspired to move towards a way of eating that will lead you to better health.  This class has just four seats left.
