Summit releases first semester honor roll
Following is the Honor Roll for the First Semester of the 2013-2014 School Year at Summit Academy.

Summit boys advance to District Championship game
The Summit Academy Patriots won their district opener over Nezperce 62-44 Friday, Feb. 21 at the LCSC Activity Center in Lewiston and advanced to the District Championship game which was Tuesday, Feb. 25.Tyler Krogh leaves Nezperce defenders in his wake at District. In the District Championship Summit was to play Kendrick, an upset winner over league champion Deary. With a win Summit advances to the state tournament in Caldwell March 6-7-8. With a loss they would play the Nezperce-Deary winner on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. with the winner of that game playing at St. Maries Saturday, March 1 at 4:30 p.m. against the District I champion for a berth at State. Summit won by 13 and 25 over Kendrick during the season but the Tigers seem to have a knack of playing much better at tournament time.
The game against Nezperce was close for three quarters with summit pulling away in the fourth.
The score was tied at 10-10 after 1 quarter with Summit holding an 18-17 lead at the half.
Summit took a 34-29 lead into the fourth quarter then blew it open as they outscored the Indians 28-14 in the final frame.
Nezperce went to full-court pressure in the fourth quarter and Summit had little trouble breaking it as they scored several easy baskets.
Josh Lustig scored most of his 17 points in that fourth period, driving to the hoop for easy lay-ups or fouls. He wound up converting 9 of 10 free throw attempts in the game.
Michael Waters was the Patriots’ leading scorer with 20 points while Tyler Krogh scored 8, Matthew Schwartz 7, Dean Stubbers and Patrick Chmelik 4 each and Chris Osborne 2.
Summit held high-scoring Nezperce guard Kristian Carpenter to just 5 points with 3 of those coming on a late 3-pointer after the game was all but over.
Summit is now 13-5 on the season.
