Two-time player of the year
Hanna Ross is about to catch the ball for an out at first against Troy after pitcher Leah Holthaus, foreground, had fielded a comebacker.
Kyndahl Ulmer, #22 shown scoring against Hagerman at state, achieved a rare feat, winning the 1-A, Division 1 girls basketball player of the year award in back to back years. She won as a Kamiah player in 2013 and as a Prairie player in 2014. She also had the rare privilege of being on the team that beat Lapwai for the state title both years. That is fully half the times we are aware of that Lapwai lost in a state championship game as they lost twice to Prairie and once each to Kamiah and Clearwater Valley.
