Arnzen, Uhlenkott, girls 4x100 win regional titles
Lucas Arnzen won the 400 meter dash while Krystin Uhlenkott won the triple jump and the girls 4x100 relay won at the Regional Track Meet at Kootenai Thursday and Friday, May 9-10.Krystin Uhlenkott landed well out into the pit as she took over first place in the triple jump with a personal best mark at the Regional meet. She also qualified for state in the long jump and 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
Arnzen won the 400 in 52.40 and will also go to state in the 100 where he was second in 11.85 and the 200 where he also finished second in 24.02.
Uhlenkott set a personal best to win the triple jump at 33’2¼”. She will also go to state in the long jump with a 2nd place finish at 15’5¼”. 
The 4x100 relay team of Keely Schmidt, Mykaela McWilliams, Shayla VonBargen and Uhlenkott placed first with a time of 52.89.
The same 4 girls made up the 4x400 team that placed 2nd in 4:19.58 and will also go to state.
Other state qualifiers for the girls are:
Brandi Gehring with a 3rd in the high jump at 4’6”.
VonBargen with a4th in the high jump at 4’4”.
McWilliams with a 2nd in the 100 hurdles in 17.03 and 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 49.29.
Chaye Uptmor in the 800 with a 4th place finish at 2:40.25.
Heidi Holubetz who made it as a bubble qualifier in the shot put despite a 6th place finish at 31’1½”.
Other state qualifiers for the boys are:
Peter Spencer with a 2nd in the 1600 at 4:46.96 and a 2nd in the 3200 at 10:16.99.
The medley relay team of Bryson Higgins, Isaiah Shears, Arnzen and Spencer which qualified with a 2nd place finished in 3:54.02.
Other girls results:
Sydney Glimp was 8th in the 200 in 32.48, 20th in the shot at 24’9” and 25th in the discus at 62’4”.
Uptmor also place 8th in the 400 in 1:11.38.
Beka Bruner was 10th in the 800 in 3:07.58; 11th in the 1600 in 6:57.43 and 9th in the 3200 in 14:57.83.
Nicole Poxleitner was 25th in the 100 in 15.35, 12th in the 400 in 1:15.55 and 12th in the 800 in 3:13.22.
Bailie Gehring was 33rd in the 100 in 16.38, 32nd in the shotput at 21’0” and 31st in the discus at 53’11”.

Holubetz was also 22nd in the discus at 67’6”.
Beth Dinning was 13th in the discus at 73’10” and 27th in the shot put at 23’6”.
Emily McHugh was 30th in the discus at 55’8” and 34th in the shot at 19’7”.
The medley relay tam of Brandi Gehring, Poxleitner, Uptmor and Schmidt was 7th in 2:10 .18.
As a team the girls placed 4th with 76 points.
Other boys results:
Shears was 15th in the 100 in 12.58 and 10th in the 400 in 57.62.
Bryson Higgins was 24th in the 100 in 12.87
Brandon Higgins was 34th in the 100 in 14.14, 36th in the 200 in 29.36 and 18th in the long jump at 15’1¼”.
Lucas Wemhoff was 30th in the 200 in 27.43 and 17th in the long jump at 15’7½”.
Ryan Glimp was 38th in the 200 in 30.69, 21st in the discus at 81’10” and 13th in the triple jump at 30’3½”
Drew Cochran was 9th in the 3200 in 11:30.65, 10th in the 1600 in 5:09.59 and 15th in the shot at 32’4”.
Ricardo Dominguez was 15th in the 800 in 2:20.07, 13th in the 1600 in 5:25.99 and 12th in the 3200 in 12:07.44.
Dally Ratcliff was 9th in the 110 hurdles in 21.63, 12th in the 300 hurdles in 52.92. and 14th in the triple jump at 29’10½”.
Westin Crenshaw was 6th in the discus at 108’5” and 9th in the shot at 38’1”.
Dakota Wilson was 8th in the shot at 38’10¼” and 12th in the discus at 95’6”.
A.J. Everson was 11th in the shot at 35’3” and 16th in the discus at 87’11”.
As a team the boys placed 5th with 60 points.
Mykaela McWilliams in the 100 meter hurdles where she placed 2nd. She is one of 3 Prairie athletes to qualify for state in 4 events as she is also in the 300 hurdles and the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
Peter Spencer in the 1600 at Regionals. He took 2nd in both this event and the 3200 and will also be going to state as part of the medley relay.

State Track
The 1-A state track meet is being held at Middleton High School this year at the same site as the 2-A and 3-A meets.
Heidi Holubetz will be the first to see action as the girls shot put starts at 9 a.m. Friday, May 16.
Brandi Gehring and Shayla VonBargen will compete in the high jump starting at 10:30 a.m.
Krystin Uhlenkott will be competing in the triple jump which is set to start at 12 p.m. and the long jump which is set for 3 p.m.
Peter Spencer will get into action in the 3200 final. The girls 1-A 3200 starts at 1:30 p.m. with the boys race right after that.
Once the 3200’s are done the running preliminaries will start with Mykaela McWilliams in the 100 meter hurdles, Lucas Arnzen in the 100 meter dash and then the 400 meter dash, McWilliams in the 300 hurdles and then Arnzen again in the 200 prelims.
Finishing off the evening will be the medley relay finals. All 3 girls races will be run first so Prairie’s team will be in the 4th race.
On Saturday there will be the Parade of Athletes at 11:30 a.m. with the running finals set for 12:30 p.m.
They will run in the following order: Girls 100 meter hurdles; Boys 110 meter hurdles (no Prairie entries), 4x200 relay (no Prairie entries); 100 meter dash, 800 meter run (Chaye Uptmor), 4x100 relay (Prairie girls), 400 meter dash, 300 meter hurdles, 200 meter dash, 1600 meter run (Peter Spencer) and 4x400 relay (Prairie girls).
